Retraction Policy

PIWELING: Journal of Pedagogy, Interdisciplinary and Workforce Learning is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scientific record. In cases where published articles are found to contain significant errors, fabricated data, plagiarism, or other ethical violations, the journal will issue a retraction notice.

Grounds for Retraction

An article may be retracted if:

  • The findings are unreliable due to misconduct (data fabrication, falsification) or honest error.
  • The article constitutes plagiarism of another work.
  • The research was conducted without proper ethical approval.
  • The same research has been published elsewhere without proper cross-referencing (duplicate publication).
  • The authorship is disputed and cannot be resolved to the satisfaction of the journal.

Retraction Process

  1. Upon receiving a complaint or identifying a concern, the Editor-in-Chief will conduct a preliminary investigation.
  2. The authors will be notified and given an opportunity to respond.
  3. If retraction is warranted, a Retraction Notice will be published and linked to the original article.
  4. The original article will remain accessible but will be clearly marked as retracted.

Retraction notices will include the reason for retraction and are signed by the Editor-in-Chief. The journal follows the COPE Retraction Guidelines.
