Publication Ethics

Publication Ethics

PITUDUH: Journal of Physical Education, Innovation, Teach Universal Development, and Health is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. Our publication ethics are based on the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Duties of Authors

  • Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that their work is entirely original. Any work or words of others must be appropriately cited. Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable and constitutes unethical behavior.
  • Data Accuracy: Authors are obligated to present accurate data. Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior and are unacceptable.
  • Multiple Submissions: Authors should not submit manuscripts describing essentially the same research to more than one journal simultaneously.
  • Authorship: Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study. All authors must approve the final version of the manuscript.
  • Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest: All authors must disclose any financial or other substantive conflicts of interest that might have influenced the results or interpretation of their manuscript.

Duties of Editors

  • Fair Play: Editors evaluate manuscripts solely based on academic merit without regard to the authors' race, gender, religion, nationality, or institutional affiliation.
  • Confidentiality: Editors must not disclose any information about submitted manuscripts to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, and members of the editorial board.
  • Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest: Editors should not use unpublished information disclosed in a submitted manuscript for their own research purposes without the authors' explicit written consent.

Duties of Reviewers

  • Confidentiality: Reviewers must treat manuscripts received for review as confidential documents and must not share or discuss them with others.
  • Objectivity: Reviews should be conducted objectively. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate. Reviewers should express their views clearly with supporting arguments.
  • Conflicts of Interest: Reviewers should not review manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with any of the authors or institutions.

Retraction Policy

PITUDUH reserves the right to retract published articles if clear evidence of fabrication, falsification, or plagiarism is found. Retraction notices will be clearly marked and cross-linked to the original article.
