CRITA: Journal of Contemporary Approaches in Researching Indonesian Texts and Arts operates as a peer-reviewed open access journal. To cover the operational costs of peer review management, copyediting, typesetting, digital archiving, and online publication, the journal applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) upon acceptance of a manuscript.
There are no submission fees. Charges are only applicable upon formal acceptance of a manuscript following the peer review process.

CRITA Journal recognizes the financial constraints that researchers, especially from developing countries and early-career scholars, may face. Fee waivers or discounts may be granted in cases of demonstrated financial hardship. Authors wishing to apply for a waiver must submit a formal waiver request at the time of manuscript submission. Waiver decisions are made at the discretion of the editorial board and are based on the availability of funds and the quality of the submitted manuscript.
Upon acceptance of a manuscript, authors will be notified of the payment procedure via email from the editorial office. Payment can be made through bank transfer to the publisher's official account. Detailed payment instructions will be provided at the time of acceptance notification. Authors are advised not to make any payment prior to receiving official acceptance notification from the journal.
