Jengkol: Journal of Early Childhood, Innovation, Knowledge, and Learning is a peer-reviewed, open access academic journal dedicated to advancing scholarly knowledge in early childhood education, learning innovation, and child development.

Focus

The journal focuses on research that examines how young children learn, develop, and are educated, with particular attention to innovative practices, emerging pedagogies, and evidence-based approaches in early childhood settings. Jengkol encourages interdisciplinary inquiry that connects theory, classroom practice, and educational policy across diverse cultural and institutional contexts.

Scope

Jengkol invites original research articles, theoretical reviews, and critical analyses covering, but not limited to, the following areas:

  • Early Childhood Education: curriculum development, play-based learning, assessment, and classroom practice in early childhood settings
  • Child Development: cognitive, language, socio-emotional, physical, and moral development in the early years
  • Learning Innovation: technology-enhanced learning, digital and learning media for children, STEAM, and creative pedagogy
  • Early Literacy and Numeracy: emergent reading and writing, mathematical thinking, and multilingual development
  • Teacher Professional Development: educator competence, professional training, reflective practice, and professional identity
  • Inclusive and Special Needs Education: early intervention, differentiated instruction, and accessible learning environments
  • Parenting, Family, and Community Engagement: parenting practices, home–school partnerships, and community-based early education
  • Early Childhood Education Policy: governance, quality standards, access, and equity in early childhood provision
  • Character, Culture, and Values Education: value formation, local wisdom, and culturally responsive practice in the early years

All manuscripts must be written in English and conform to the standards of the APA 7th Edition referencing style.
